Dulu masa kecik2, kalau cuti sekolah takda benda nak buat, suka bukak computer. Explore lah Microsoft Excel tuuu. Macam besttt jee. Selalu main kedai2 ke, booking2 hotel ke, main beli2 ticket wayang ke semua acah2 guna excel. Lawak la, bila nak bayar pakai credit card, slide je card tu in between the keyboards hahahahahhahahahahaha haih bahagia oh dulu.
Sempena Easter holidays baru2 ni, I was given a task by my parents to arrange a getaway to Wales for 4 days and 3 nights. Soooo, kena book hotel, ticket untuk visit places, sediakan itinerary and program semua kira I`m in charge of where we want to go, papa drive je hehee. Best, sebab macam main masa kecik2 dulu. Bezanya, kali ni enter card number for real, bayar for real, book hotel for real, book tickets real and semuanya for real hewhew.
So the journey was from London - Manchester - Wales. Nak pusing tiga-tiga tempat ni memang lama la kan. We had a lot of stops along the way and we even had to skip some places sebab takut tak sempat. Our journey to Manchester wasnt that interesting. Most probably we weren`t fans of MUFC. But we went to Old Trafford anyway because we are trying to cover all the stadiums in the UK.
We made our way to Aunty Baiti`s house. Which was so. cool. enough. said.
Her house was a caravan. A 40ft caravan which was placed in a caravan park near the sea. The park was of course, filled with so many other caravans that are actually houses with people living in them. There were also caravans for sale / let. The park was as if you`re in a normal housing area, just that people live in caravans, not houses. Everything was well managed, there were routes, parking lots and even the entrance to the park was auto-card gated (which pretty much guarantees the safety of the park). Her caravan consists of two bedrooms, one toilet, a kitchen + a dining hall, and everything was medium sized but fit for a couple to live in. We had dinner at her place and slept at a travelodge in Manchester.
The next 3 days was our trip to Wales. The drive was seriously long and I tried my best not to even sleep in the car because I simply pity my father who had to drive all the way. Our next destination was to Llandudno which was on the north of Wales. We passed by the Grand Tramway and I got the chance to go inside the smallest house in GB with a fee entrance of 50p (comel gila). That night, we slept at a guest house in Aberyswyth, and that was where we met Susie and her partner.
Day 3 was our journey to Cardiff. We travel all the way using the GPS which was built in the car so we had every right in this world to 100% trust it wherever it brings us. However we forgot that it actually had settings that we need to put our hands on so that it would not bring us to the countryside roads (which is longer but that was where we ended up anyway) or roads that are congested and whatnot lah. It took us approximately 2 hours and a half from Susie`s house to Cardiff and since the GPS had brought us through the countryside road, we got Real peaceful green views along the way. Not to mention the scattered sheeps on the mountains and valleys which seemed to appear cotton-like from afar picture.
After we toured Cardiff, we went to the Tredegar House which was located in Newport, 20 mins drive from Cardiff. This house is like a must go place and it is said to be one of the wonders of Wales since it existed since the 1840`s. We later checked in Holiday Inn express and dozed off early that night to wake up early as well the day after.
Day 4 was our last day and it was go back to London day (yay!). On the way, we went to Bath to checkout its city since it`s also one of the must-go places in the UK. We took a boat and after the tour, we went straight to Stonehenge. This is my fav part of the story.
Alhamdulillah, I believe it was with Allah`s permission that my family and I had the oppotunity to come and visit one of the seven wonders of the world, Stonehenge. It was a pleasure to have been there and to be able to feed my curiosity about this place. I wouldnt want to spoil the info, you`ve to go there to experience the awe yourself.
A little of what I would share is that the magnificent but eccentric fact about Stonehenge is that it was raised 4500 years ago by the sophisticated prehistoric people for temple purposes. Furthermore, the cool fact was that the Stonehenge was raised aligned on the movements of the sun ! It totally equals with its functions, aite? But it is also amazing to be thinking of Allah`s power to send the archaic nation some actual wisdom. SubhanAllah. We only get to view the Stonehenge from a far distance because in the circular arrangement of the standing stones themselves, that the land is very fragile that it is understood to be dangerous for visitors to step on. So, ok enough info ya, heheehe.
Lepas visit Stonehenge tu balik ah apa lagi. Dah lewat petang dah punz.
p/s: Kenapa tajuk post " Jalan-jalan tengok bumi Allah " ? Sebab,
Because most of our journey took place in the countryside and subhanAllah, we didnt even get bored of how beautiful it was! Papa said,
"Ni baru a part of 1/4 bumi. Bumi kan 3/4 air. Tapi sebahagian daripada 1/4 bumi pun dah sebesar-besar ni, bayangkan betapa besarnya bumi Allah cipta."
It got me telling myself, "Baru bumi. Belum matahari. Belum alam semesta. Allahuakbar"
"Trip kali ni, kita lagi banyak tengok bumi Allah, dan memang benar pepatah berkata,
Jauh perjalanan, luas pandangan. ( Luas juga pemandangan heheheehe )
Alhamdulillah.
